Hall Advantages
Strength. The seven-fold pressure of our aerospace-grade autoclave makes a huge difference in laminate strength and quality. The autoclave removes virtually all of the strength-sapping voids in the laminate; composites cured in the autoclave are up to 50 percent stronger in compression than those formed under vacuum pressure alone. It's no wonder autoclave curing is the standard for all aerospace applications.
Racing Pedigree. No other spar maker continually achieves the record Hall does in the racing arena. This experience translates into highly optimized, race-tested designs that combine top performance and maximum reliability.
Longevity. Carbon racing spars are stronger and routinely survive the kind of wipe outs that crumple aluminum masts. Our carbon cruising rig systems are more than good-looking - they're dependable and contribute to improvements in comfort and safety. The track record of carbon rigs is superior to aluminum, and the weight savings is spectacular.
Safety. A Hall seamless mast is customized for greater strength in high-load areas and lighter weight aloft. Light weight aloft has many benefits, including lower stress on the rigging and hull, lower pitching and healing moments, and less momentum of the boom in a jibe.
Technology. Expert engineering is the foundation of every Hall project. Finite Element Analysis allows accurate testing of designs before they're built. Our credo is lighter, stronger, better. All Hall engineers work on-site, ensuring timely, direct and accurate communication with shop personnel.
Experience. We've worked with carbon since 1984 and autoclave curing since 1992. Hall leads all spar makers in tonnage of autoclave-cured spar products. Experience translates into ever-improved laminate quality as well as continued engineering and process innovation.
Innovation. New ideas are born every day at Hall Spars & Rigging. We are constantly researching new carbon applications as well as innovative rigging solutions. Our SCR carbon standing rigging is just one example of our innovative thinking.
Attention to Detail. Amid the technological advances and innovative processes, your spar receives hand-crafted care. Knowledgeable, conscientious people are building your mast, using superior manufacturing techniques and materials.
Expert Riggers. Hall has fully equipped standing and running rigging operations that have few peers worldwide. Hall stocks the latest in rope and hardware, ensuring best possible materials are used for each application.
Prompt Service. With a formal customer service department supporting the product, Hall Spars & Rigging is always accessible when issues arise. And Hall insists on providing factory service by trained in-house personnel - whenever and wherever it's required.
Share Holder Commitment. Hall Spars & Rigging is owned by Eric Hall, Ben Hall, and Phil Garland. Each is intimately involved in the company's day-to-day operations either in the office, on-site at client facilities, or on the race course with clients. |
