Holland

The European factory is located in Breskens, Holland. The autoclave in Europe measures 45 meters in order to create masts for the America's Cup and most superyacht masts in one piece, in one cure cycle. Manufacturing in Europe began in the spring of 2002. The factory is comprised of three buildings: The carbon shop, paint booth, sanding, and office areas are located in a 3400m2 building completed in 2009. The second building measures 3000m2 and houses the pre-assembly and final assembly areas as well as the stock room. (This is the original factory, built in 2001). One-design production, CNC machining, and the rigging shop are located in a third building measuring 1200m2.

All engineering is completed in-house. Hall engineers use dynamic finite element analysis (FEA) in combination with solid modeling to analyze rig loads and create the lightest, strongest rigs possible. There is a team of engineers at each factory. Engineers, as well as shop employees, routinely rotate among the factories to share ideas and ensure consistent quality.

The European factory has grown steadily and now employs 90 workers. Hall Spars & Rigging assembles standing and running rigging packages for our mast projects as well as for a wide range of customers worldwide. A full service team is located on-site to assist our customers with the maintenance of their Hall products and improvement of their existing spars and rigging systems.

Company prinicpals are: Eric Hall, President; Ben Hall, Vice President; and Phil Garland, Vice President. Andre Vermeulen is Commercial Director for Holland and Jos van den Heuvel is Managing Director.
